Transforming Justice in Baltimore
The former Shillman Building at 500 N. Calvert Street has been repurposed into a state-of-the-art judicial hub, replacing the aging District Court building at 501 E. Fayette Street, adjacent to City Hall. This ambitious $71 million project delivers a modern courthouse designed to meet the evolving needs of Baltimore’s judicial system.

Key Features of the New Courthouse

  • 168,568 square feet of newly configured space
  • Eight courtrooms, with four equipped to house criminal trials
  • Expanded offices for the Baltimore City State’s Attorney and Public Defender’s Office
  • Dedicated offices for the court commissioner and clerks
  • Integrated detention facilities for enhanced security
  • A striking modern glass and metal facade with an interior expansion of 20,000 square feet
  • A new pedestrian plaza on Centre Street
  • A partial underground garage for improved accessibility
  • Designed with best practices in security and sustainability

iCivil Inc. was proud to support this landmark project by providing expert Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling services. Our responsibilities included:

  • Reviewing the initial CPM schedule
  • Conducting monthly schedule updates
  • Assessing project changes and revisions
  • Performing time impact analyses
  • Delivering recommendations for time extensions to keep the project on track

Through our scheduling expertise, iCivil ensured that this complex, multi-year project progressed efficiently and met critical milestones.
